For a sum up of what SuperParents is and isn’t, see Parenting Blogs – What I’m Not. That post talks about some of the underlying themes that this blog develops. For a better behind-the-scenes look, you can see more from our FaceBook notes to understand how posts and series are developed.
I have great satisfaction from posts which start with a survey, like with the MoDiscipline members on FaceBook. Posts like Improving Your Marriage Survey, Dads Play a Vital Role in their Son’s Upbringing – Survey Results and Improving Your Marriage Survey are great opportunities for me to reflect on respondents. Far from just reporting on my findings, I try to make sense of the issue in hopes that it will solicit further responses.
I get a kick out of posts like Wife Optimisation Tips and Stay at Home Dad – Beginning the Idiot’s Guide. Those posts read easy but have loads of underlying messages. They’re a great way to get readers to reflect on their own life circumstances.
My most treasured story on this blog would have to be Do You Believe in Fate?, a story about a friend who has since passed on, and about how I’ve chosen to keep his memory alive. For a more lighthearted session, don’t forget to check out Starting a Family? 14 Simple Tests to See If You Are Ready for Children, and the other tongue-in-cheek jokes I’ve shared on this blog. They’re too funny!
